COACHING
COACHING
Coaches are essential figures in athletes' lives, guiding their development and inspiring success on and off the court. Their responsibilities extend from teaching skills to fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Coaches play a crucial role in shaping both the athletic abilities and character of their players, turning them into confident and resilient individuals. All Berowra coaches are volunteers and coach the U18's teams. They are incredibly important to our club and anyone can coach.
Coaches responsibilities include:
Weekly training and games.
Safety of all players.
Encourage a sense of sportsmanship and fair play.
Urge all players, whatever of skill level, to treat one another with respect and to demand recognition for their individual worth.
Empower players to become independent thinkers and self-driven athletes.
Requirements for coaching include completion of the Foundation Coaching Course, Working with Children Check (for coaches aged 18 and over) and completion of Rules of Netball Theory Exam.
